Who am I? Well, that’s a profound question I’m asking a lot of myself these days. Let’s start with some basics…I’m a 50-year old male living in the southeastern United States. I work for a national bank in risk management with quite a bit of data analyst/data engineering thrown in for good measure. I am married with 2 kids and a fluffy cat.
With that epic intro out-of-the-way, let’s get a bit more personal. I am a text-book introvert. A curious individual with no special talents but a strong work ethic. Politically, I align to the left; a progressive independent/democrat. I like discovering new music, seeing my favorite bands in concert, going on hikes, camping and geeking out on tech and science stuff.
Why did I start a blog in 2025? Well, when I look at the what’s happening in the world, I feel a need to put into words, who I am, what I stand for, and what I want out of life. I’m certainly no professional writer and definitely not writing this for anyone in particular. I doubt there will be many folks who stop by to read any of my articles. There is no need or desire to chase clicks, shares, likes, or ad revenue. This blog is like my personal journal that I am sharing with you and anyone who is willing to follow along.
I don’t know what impact my blog will have (if any). For now, it gives me a chance to hopefully put something good out into the world. Who knows, maybe it’ll resonate with a few people.
